Things to Do at Château Robert Swimming Pool Château Robert has a swimming pool with chaise lounges. Our caretaker, Patrice, cleans the pool every morning and sets out fresh towels. Tennis Court There is a tennis court on the estate for your private use, and we have all the equipment you need, so there's nothing stopping you getting in a workout if you are so inclined. Horseback Riding The castle's caretaker, Patrice, has three horses on the property. He would be happy to take you out to visit them. Things to Do in the Area Farmers' market in St. Sever (8 min. drive) Every Saturday morning the traditional square of Saint Sever hosts a farmers' market that is abustle with local vendors: cheese makers, butchers, fishmongers, confectioners, and local farmers selling produce of all kinds. Wine Tasting at La Cave Tursan (20 min. drive) Learn about the local wines and history of the vineyard, as you taste your way through a selection of prize-winning vintages. Local Festivals – «Feta» During the summer, and especially at the end of July and beginning of August, there are several lively festivals that take place in the area. The locals call them «feta». If you plan on booking Château Robert during this period, we'll be happy to fill you in, and let you know which ones are worth visiting. Spa in Eugénie-les-Bains (30 min. drive) If you are looking for a truly relaxing holiday experience, we recommned you visit the spa, La Ferme Therminale D’Eugénie . They offer a range of massage and hot spring treatments. Picnic in the Park in Eugénie-les-Bains (30 min. drive) Take a stroll and enjoy a picninc in Eugénie-les-Bains' beautiful park. The park is located right next to the Michelin restaurant Michel Guérard. Golf at Les Greens d’Eugénie (30 min. drive) For golf enthusiasts we recommend a playing a round on the Eugénie-les-Bains Golf Course. The golf course is open to guests every day of the year. It has lovely historical buildings, museums, a lake with a sandy beach, and restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine. Biarritz (1h 30m drive) Biarritz lies just a few kilometres north of the Spanish border, and is a popular holiday destination for the French. It offers plenty of places to relax and enjoy the local fare. It is also a good place to start if you want to explore the Basque Country. If you're a surfer, Biarritz is also known for its waves.
